3.2.7 Released

SoftSlate Commerce 3.2.7 Released

SoftSlate is pleased to announce the release of the latest version of SoftSlate Commerce, version 3.2.7. In addition to a number of minor improvements, this release includes a new integration with Hosted CIM for payment processing, as well the ability for customers to maintain multiple shipping addresses under their account. Hosted CIM is a key option for merchants concerned about PCI compliance because collects credit card information directly without having the information stored or even transmitted through the merchant's website. The Hosted CIM option also has the following benefits:

  • Because it integrates with's CIM (Customer Information Management) service, you get all the benefits of CIM's "Payment Data Tokenization":
    • Your customers can select previously-used payment profiles without having to reenter their card information.
    • You can use their tokenized payment information to make recurring charges without having to refer to their credit card number.
    • All credit card data is stored on's PCI compliant systems, removing all of your security and liability concerns.
  • The hosted payment form may be displayed via an embedded iframe, allowing you to integrate the form into your existing design.
  • Other display options include displaying the form in a popup window or via a browser redirect to a separate page.
  • The Hosted CIM feature is available in both the Community Edition and the Enterprise Edition.

Other new features:

  • In addition, this release includes the ability for your customers to maintain an address book of shipping addresses in their store's account, for complete flexibility and convenience. Here is a screenshot:
  • For designers and developers, this release includes support for three levels of JSP customizations - custom, common, and default. This allows designers to more easily manage multiple layouts at once. Customizations shared by more than one layout can be placed in the "common" layout directory.

Upgrading From 3.2.6 to 3.2.7:

Important technical note: with the 3.2.7 release, SoftSlate Commerce now requires JDK version 6 or higher.
