We added two new enhancements to the Advanced Search feature in version 3.1.2 of SoftSlate Commerce: highlighted excerpts (using the Lucene Highlighter) and search term stemming (using the Snowball Analyzer). This video demonstrates each of the new enhancements.

New with version 3.1.6 is the ability to send customers emails apprising them of their order status and any other messages you need to send them. Lead developer Dave Tobey introduces this feature.

Starting in version 3.1.8, you may set up your store to allow customers to purchase Gift Certificates, which they can give to their friends to pay for other items in the store. (Note: the SQL script mentioned in the video is /WEB-INF/classes/resources/product/insert.sql.)
